A warm hello to everyone
it’s been a long time since I last visited and posted on this forum
I though I would contribute to this thread on Savage boats as I suppose in the world of tinnies 30 years can be considered vintage.
I own a 1993 Savage Kestrel 400 fitted with a 1993 Mercury 20hp two stroke long shaft outboard engine. The boat is carried on a 1993 Dunbier Sport Series trailer.
I really enjoy this boat and find great pleasure at every use. What I like the most of this boat is the low maintenance, the great versatility in use and manoeuvrability, and her wider beam. She doesn’t handle too well on choppy seas but that is understandable and perhaps stands for her limited size. The hull is strong and still in very good condition. I take good care of her, although (I have to admit) the engine is temperamental and could be a bit easier to start.

Thank you for reading

Ps. Despite being a very common file format type I can’t upload the photo. Will try converting and posting later.
