Hi

Still looking for the make of my trailer to ease my way through a blue slip
It has early Holden wheels and Dura torque suspension with a non adjustable dolly wheel
Its got a number stamped into aluminium and riveted to the frame behind the winch post
and it's a tilt trailer, the main rails are C section
Any help would be welcome

cheers , steve

Not having a good day on the keyboard Chair!
I tried once more to upload, Ha!'
Not to be beaten though, I have a couple of pic's in Restoration projects titled "Trailer  tidy up"
Can't believe what you have to do to blue slip a trailer in a country area
Have to sell one of the dogs!
Any help would be great, cause, first question they ask will be "what make is it"

cheers & thanks , steve

Hi yochemin,  i had a trailer with no name that i needed registered as well, and all that the rego dept put on it was "home made".  There were no identification numbers on it, or the numbers had been rusted away. They registered the trailer for me no probs. All they needed to know was, apart from make, what style trailer eg. "boat trailer". Hope this helps.

Same experiences. I have taken two trailers in NSW (8 or 9 years ago) which were home-made and the RTA labelled them as home made. Did one also up here in Qld, same story. Up here they want to see it and they pull out a steel tape to confirm measurements.
Good luck.

Thanks fellas,

Had as little as possible to do with RTA for a decade or so, it had Victorian rego when I bought it, but it lapsed while I was finishing the house, thanks again

Hey Steve... no longer the RTA.
They are now called RMS..

I can't keep up either, I call them DMR, just to give them the willies Grin They really hate that!

It's really not worth calling them on the phone these days, either
RMS Real Mothers Sometimes , I guess it's better than Department Mentally Retarded
Although my personel favourite was Mean Sons of Bitc...

Good to hear from you Guy, trust your well?
