Hi ronmac, welcome to The Board.
I certainly can think of at least 3 different Sundance Mariner models. However, I don't know the names.
We have a member who owns a very detailed Boating Industry book. Perhaps when he returns from his Christmas break he'll be able to shed more light on the subject.

Hi Ron,

Unfortunately there is no listing of "Sundance" in my old dealers guide.
Are we talking about the Sundance boats that were made in the 70's?
If so, does it have a manufactures plate stating the company that built it?

Thank you Gents, Yes the boat was built in the early 70's. It has the word " Sundance written on the right angle gun whale cap holding the rubber moulding , joining the hull and deck. The only markings are a sticker with the words "Bennets Green" Newcastle and a phone No . Also the words Barracuda . I was also told it may be a rebadged Pride. Ah! well back to the drawing board. cheers Ron.

A Caribbean Caper 14' 3''
A Pride Cheetah  14' 3"

Freighter Industries -
A Bellboy Barracuda 14'

In the mid 70's

Just alter the name of your File/pic. You only need to change it by one character if you want.

I seem to recall the Sundance was very similar to the Cruise Craft. Perhaps the Sundance range was built under licence for Mariner Outboards. Good old fashion Badge Engineering Grin
Do a search on ebay "Cruise Craft" and see what you reckon.

A nice little rig indeed ronmac. Smiley Smiley
I'll bet the the hull has been refinished and the decals your speak of, have been fitted since. I'm sorry to say the decals don't match that hull.
You were on the mark on a previous post, in fact that hull is a Pride. There was never a "nock off". International Marine wouldn't allow it.

All of the Sundance models I know, were styled well after that shape. Your hull is from the mid 60's, not the mid 70's.

I've been talking to someone who was working at International Marine in the 60's/70s. There was a bloke that worked there that left and starting making his own boats that he called "Sundance." That's probably why it looks like a flop off a pride hull. He was a bit lazy so the story goes, some of his later versions looked like savage hulls. According to the information I have they were produced in small numbers, almost a backyard operation. I've been told his name, but I don't know if I'm allowed to publish it on this board.
