Update on progress

Spent about $500 on parts from oldmercs.com , a great service.
The boat is now running better than ever. Starts first time goes like rocket.
It is now definately worth persuing the tilt gear. Persistance paid off.
Thanks for the encouragement David.

Martin

Hi David
The boat was in the water Jan 2 and had a great holiday on the Hawkesbury river.
It was a bit of a pain having to lift the engine often, due to the tidal nature of the river, but great fun nevertheless. I will keep searching for the tilt gear and if you know how to wire the engine temp gauge that will be fixed as well. All other electrics are working well.
Regards Martin

PS Tried to send a photo and it said only jpeg allowed. It was a jpeg!!!!!!!!
Maybe a problem your end, it was only 35kb.

Martin, great stuff

Send the pic to me:  dixons@bigpond.net.au

I'll post it and investigate the prob. I found all the stuff for the tilt, and I'll let you know if I decide not to use it on mine.

Found the problem regarding the posting of .jpgs, Your pic was saved as a.jpeg which photoshop recognises, but obviously my forum doesn't. Next time just change the extention and it should work. Great shots though... if you could post same with higher resolution I'll delete this one.
