Hi All,

I'm sure I have read this some where, however I can't find it.

What is the Recommended Fuel / Oil mix ratio for the Straight 6 Merc 115 Blueband, circa 1979 Huh

Thanks

ratio is 50:1
Premium 95 fuel preferred with no ethanol
Mercury quicksilver or Johnson/Evinrude 2 stroke oil in preference to other oils.

Thanks Mark,

Was the first run in the boat last weekend and I had 40:1 in my head.

Will run 50:1 now.

40:1 is OK only if run at WOT most of the time.
Most of the racers in the 70's used to run 40:1 in the stock I6 motors.

The factorty racing I6's ran 24:1 for that added protection.
