I have an original 1973 Savage Electra with a 308 inboard. It is such a great all round boat

Great Pmac. I had an Electra Initially powered by an 85 Evinrude. That was a super fun boat, and don't they look great. Looks like there are a few inboard versions about. I must admit I've never seen one in the flesh. I think they still are one of the nicest locally designed hulls

There were two versions of the savage electra inboard. The SS and the Sportsman. The later had a wrap around windscreen.
Another interesting boat is a Fred Williams Hustler from the late 60's to early 70's

That'd be from the Fred Williams Water Ski clan would it not? Have you got a pic of it? also any pics of yours would be good. Here is My electra after I sold it with a Mariner 115. The pic is a bit touched up but it shows the great lines of the boat.

Firstly have you got a scanner, or has a friend? If you can digitize them, you can send them by email to me and I will post them for you.

We used to own a Savage Electra SS inboard which was one of Savages boat show boats. I believe it now lives around the Bairnsdale area!
It was a fantastic ski boat but do not get off the gas to fast or the wake will come over the stern!

If you look at our member "Inboard Electra's" profile, there is a pic of what I assume is his boat, It's a different colour etc.

That windscreen was before it's time here in AUS. I say again "A classic looking Australian Runabout is the Electra".

I bought the boat in the catalogue I purchased from Altona in Melbourne from a Savage Boats employee and then drove it to Sydney.I wish I could trace the boat.

Pretty sure was the same boat! We bought it from you after a test run ! We had an XD SPACK Falcon! Turned out on the tow home they had not fitted the tow bar correctly! We had the boat for several years named Bacchus! After the Greek God of wine seeing the colour was Plum Wine! Boat was then purchased by our cousins in Vic! Windscreen was lowered Then a few years later was on sold! Believe it is now down around the Bairnsdale area! Pretty sure I saw it at a property around there 2003!
