Evinrude Big Twin 40hp outboard motor. Was advertised on Gumtree as a "Barn find survivor from deceased estate

1960's Evinrude Big Twin 40hp outboard motor Model # 35018 Serial # 04362". Dingley Village VIC.

It's actually a 1960 model.
I own a 10hp Evinrude from that same year. (Little Twin)

This 40hp is the exact same motor which powered a 14' Savage named OZ, that was the first ever runabout I rode in, way back in 1963.  I remember that day so vividly. I was 7 years old.
Thank you for that unforgettable life changing experience and introduction to boats Rob and Barbara (RIP).

Gosh, I hope the person who buys this lovely old donk realises it should be run on fuel at 24:1
(only slipper bearings on the crank and wrist pins... I'm pretty sure!)

I had a soft spot for this model. I remember when it first appeared and the speed of those boats on Port Phillip Bay.
